Biography
John Jack Dozier was born in November, 1865 in Rock Port, Missouri to Zachary Taylor and Orphelia Fanning (Kendell) Dozier. He married Linna Mae Kempton on July 3, 1893, in Fort Collins, Colorado. They were the parents of Frank Minthon (born 1894) and Travers Kempton (1895-1986). They were later divorced. He married Mable May Merrifield on September 13, 1902 in Fort Collins, Colorado. They were the parents of Orrin John (1901-1969), Birdie May (born 1903), Fremont “Monte” (1905-1965), Zachary Taylor (1911–1991), Bessie Edith (1914-1954), and Lee Earnest (1916–1983). He died on November 14, 1934, in Gering, Nebraska at the age of 73, and was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
