When Jacob Drake was born in 1778 in Bedford, Pennsylvania, his father, Benjamin, was 49 and his mother, Sarah, was 43. He married Mary Esther Polly Nolen and they had two children together. He then married Mary Hanna Ross and they had 14 children together. He died in 1856 having lived a long life of 78 years.
