There many different Drake lines in colonies from Virginia, New Jersey, and New York. And in each line are many Drakes by the name of Nathaniel and his father, John.
The information that I have is from family records collected by professional genealogists. I do not have their sources.
Nathaniel's birth date is estimated by marriage of his parents, John Drake b. 13 Mar 1733, Fishkill, Dutchess, New York, and Catherine Proctor b. 1743. They were married in 1763 in New York.
