Note: Mary Elizabeth was born in Chittenango Station,Madison County, New York to Ari and Cynthia Draper. She was the 5th child and second daughter, she had 5 brothers,David, Charles,William, twins Francis and Frank, and sisters Ida, Hortence and Lillian.

When Mary Elizabeth was 17 she met a young man named James Jackson who had immigrated from Scotland in 1869. They started to court and were married on Mar.22,1870 in Chittenango Station.

When the family moved to Canada in 1902 2 of her sons, Robert and Ervin and 1 daughter Grace didn't go with the family. Walter returned to marry and live in Elm Mills,KS. Charles married and lived around Battleford, Saskatchewan. Robert never married and died in Kansas in 1957. Grace married Sherman Claver and lived in Montana. James never married,he died before the family went to Canada. Mabel married George Hennesey and lived and died in 1944 in Canada. Henry lived for a short time once or twice in Canada,married twice and died in Spokane, Washington. Frederick married Pearl Dillabough and lived in Spokane, Washington near his brother Henry. Agnes married Harold T. Hennesey and lived in the Battleford,SK where she died in 1976.

Mary Elizabeth died in Elm Mills,KS at the age of 88 years, on Jan.28, 1941of a heart attack. She was buried in Medicine Lodge,KS near her husband James.
