OBITUARY [3] March 15, 2011
RINGGOLD, GA - Jack M. Draper, 81, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011, at a local healthcare facility.
Jack was a resident of the Chattanooga, TN, North Georgia area for over 60 years and a member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church.
He joined the U. S. Marine Corps at age 16, served 3 years, then reenlisted with the U. S. Army serving in the 82nd Airborne Pathfinders.
Jack was a member of the VFW 4848, American Legion Post 95, and the Marine Corp League.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Lynn Klajda.
Survivors are wife of 60 years, Betty Draper; daughters, Kathy Draper (David) Thompson, Rossville, GA, Lee Anne Draper (Greg) Smith, Ringgold, GA; brother, Ted Draper, Portland, OR; five grandchildren, and seven and a half great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mike Lowery officiating.
Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marine Corp League.
Memorial contributions may be made to Newnan Springs United Methodist Church, 78 Monanaw Ave, Rossville, GA 30741.
Arrangements by Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway, Fort Ogelthrope, GA.
