Born James Robert Draper March 8, 1952 in Memphis, Tenn. to Wallace and Martha (Carroll) Draper. Father transferred to and family moved to Fullerton, Calif. in 1959. Attended public schools and college in Southern Calif. Relocated to Palmer, Alaska in 1981 and worked as a chemist on the North Slope Alaska for various oil companies for 25 years. Met and married my wife Rorianna (Tull), also of Palmer, Alaska in 1989. After semi-retirement in 2002, relocated to our current location here in Eastern Washington State (Rice). I enjoy running our ranch with Rori, having guests at our Inn and working for our local volunteer fire department as an EMT. Also do professional woodworking (www.draperjim.com).

Thanks for contacting me on Wikitree. While I did post the obituary image on "Jack's" profile, I am not a relative of his. I came across the photo when researching to see if his adoptive father (William Draper) was any relation of mine. I could find no connection to my Draper family but am still looking. However I am in recent contact with one of AJ's great grandchildren whom would probably find your connection fascinating. I will forward your info to her and hopefully she will connect with you. Let me know if I can help with any further details. Warm Regards, Jim Draper
Thanks for contacting me regarding possible cousin dna-links. I looked over your tree on Ancestory.com and didn't see any obvious links to any of my ancestors, but that really doesn't mean that some can't be uncovered with careful research. Here is a link to my tree: https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tree/166884381/family/familyview and I also sent you access to the tree from Ancestry. If you uncover any common relatives, please let me know. I suspect we might have some common ancestors related to your relatives from Tennessee, as most of my paternal and maternal relatives came from north central and east Tennessee (I was born in Memphis). That would be after they arrived from the Carolinas or Virginia. But maybe we have roots going back to somewhere in Europe as well. We are mostly of German, English, and Irish ancestry. Good luck on your research and let me know if I can help.

Thank you for the FamTree Invite, I will take a look-see & let you know what I find :)
I'm in Cleveland, OH but I'm only the 2nd generation in this area, most of my maternal-maternal family is in southern Ohio whereas my maternal-paternal is TN. I don't think we're connected via my paternal line because I'm only the 3rd generation American from Ireland and Hungary on that side.
My maternal-paternal family is super Tennessee (my great-grandma is named Tennessee, and so were a lot of the other ladies in this family line). I'm really thinking that is where they connect is because my TN family came from the Carolina & Virginias + that side is mostly of German & English linage.
I'll do some digging and get back to ya! Talk soon, D
