François I Dreux was a member of the aristocracy in Europe.

François de Dreux-Bretagne was born on May 11, 1414 in Vannes, duché de Bretagne. He was the son of Jean VI, duke of Brittany and Jeanne de France.[1][2] He succeeded his father in 1442 as François I, Duke of Brittany[1].

He married Yolande d'Anjou on August 20, 1431 in Amboise.[1] They had one child:

  1. Royan (Roüan), comte de Montfort, died young[1][2]

He married Isabella Stewart at Auray on 30 October 1442[1] They had two children:

  1. Marguerite, married her cousin, François II, duke of Brittany;
  2. Marie de Bretagne, married Jean II, vicomte de Rohan, comte de Porhoët[1][2]

He had a daughter by an unknown mistress:

  1. Jeanne, married Jean Morhier Seigneur de Villers le Morhier,[2] son of Simon Morhier Seigneur de Houdan and Villiers-le-Morhier and Blanche de Popincourt[1]

He died of dropsy on July 17, 1450 in château de l'Hermine near Vannes, and was buried at Saint-Sauveur abbey in Redon.[1][2]

Of Brittany-53 and Bretagne-197 appear to represent the same person because: Duke François married twice, first to Yolande d'Anjou and second Isabel of Scotland.
Could you please update places of birth and death to: Vannes, duché de Bretagne ?

Brittany was finally united to France after François's death.

At the very least, please eliminate Morbihan (which was created in 1790) and Frankrijk. Thanks!

Bretagne-205 and Bretagne-197 appear to represent the same person because: The two profiles are the same person, one connected to the right wife, see: http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BRITTANY.htm#FrancoisIdied1450
