Father Robert I 'the Great', Comte de Perche, Seneschal of Champagne, Seigneur de Belleme, Longueville, Braine, & Baudmont[1] b. c 1123, d. 11 Oct 1188

Mother Agnes de Longueville b. c 1130, d. 24 Jul 1204

Robert II, Comte de Dreux & Braine, Seigneur de Brie-Comte-Robert, Chilly, Fère-en-Tardenois, Longjumeau, Longueville, Nesle, Pont-Arcy, Quincy, Torcy, & Ville was born circa 1154.

He married Maud de Bourgogne, daughter of Raymond de Bourgogne, Comte de Grignon and Agnes de Thiers, circa 1178; No issue.

Robert II, Comte de Dreux & Braine, Seigneur de Brie-Comte-Robert, Chilly, Fère-en-Tardenois, Longjumeau, Longueville, Nesle, Pont-Arcy, Quincy, Torcy, & Ville and Maud de Bourgogne were divorced in 1181; Divorced on grounds of consanguinity.

Robert II, Comte de Dreux & Braine, Seigneur de Brie-Comte-Robert, Chilly, Fère-en-Tardenois, Longjumeau, Longueville, Nesle, Pont-Arcy, Quincy, Torcy, & Ville married Yolande de Coucy, daughter of Raoul I de Coucy, Seigneur de Coucy, Marle, la Fere-sur-Oise, Crecy, & Vervins and Agnes of Hainault, in 1184.

Robert II, Comte de Dreux & Braine, Seigneur de Brie-Comte-Robert, Chilly, Fère-en-Tardenois, Longjumeau, Longueville, Nesle, Pont-Arcy, Quincy, Torcy, & Ville On 3rd Crusade. in 1191.

He died on 28 December 1218.[3]

if Robert II Carpet is my 22nd Great Grandfather - why is there no direct relationship when I go to his father or further up? Anybody have an idea?
