Jean de Montfort was born in 1294. He was the son of Arthur II de Montfort, Duc de Bretagne and Yolande de Dreux. He married Jeanne de Flandre, daughter of Louis de Flandre, Comte de Nevers, in 1329 at Chartres, France.[1] He died on 26 September 1345.[2]
Not to be confused with his half-brother, Jean III son of Arthur and Marie de Limoges.
