1596 appears to be based on a record which lists Edward Drew on the Muster of February 1624/25 as age 22, arrived in 1618. Subtracting 22 from 1618 yields 1596. But this is a misunderstanding of the record. Edward was age 22 when the muster was taken in 1624/25, not in 1618 when he arrived. Birth year based on the correct calculation, 1624 - 22 = 1602 estimated birth year. Strutton-11 16:46, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
Immigration to Virginia
It is difficult to determine exactly when Edward Drew arrived in Virginia. Checking sources from the early 1600s gives these possibilities:
1623/24 - Edward Drew living in Virginia "at the Eastern Shore" as of 16 February 1623/24.[1]
1624/25 - Edward Drewe, at the Eastern Shore, age 22, in the Sampson 1618 (b c 1602), 4 February 1624/25. Appears to be the same person listed on the 1623/24 census. Possibly too young to be this Edward Drew, although if he didn't marry until about 1636 or so, birth year on this profile (1596), might be incorrect.[1]
1635 - 4 July 1635, transported to Virginiain the Transport, Edward Drue, age 18, born 1617. Definitely too young to be this Edward Drew.[1]
1636 - Definitely known to be in Virginia by September 1636, see land transactions below.
Marriage & Children
Many online family trees cite a marriage between Edward Drew and Mary Furrington (alt Furrin, Hurrington) on 21 November 1639 in Stepney, Middlesex, England.[2] Edward Drew was in Virginia in 1639 and could not have married in England.
Edward's wife was named Mary, last name at birth unknown. He apparently married her in Virginia between 1639 and 1647.[3]

Drew-258 and Drew-1153 appear to represent the same person because: Hi again - these were also set as rejected but look like duplicates to me. Please merge. Thanks!
it's good to check all the Drew spellings of the olden times including Drewe, Drue, and Druce:
Doing so I found these two and one might be the Edward of this profile:
On Page 263 Edward Drewe his Muster age 22 in the ship "Sampson" 1618
