Biography

Gilman married to Cynthia Ward on February 24, 1821 at Danville. The wedding was officiated by "Minister of the Gospel" Archelaus Sias (himself probably son of Capt. Benjamin Sias).

Later Gilman Drew named one son William Sias Drew.

Gilman and Cynthia had a number of children including Ada, Aaron W. , John Theophilus Drew, Gilman Drew, Silas Smith Drew, and William Sias Drew.

Gilman L Drew is thought to be the son of Theophilus Drew Sr (born 1757). and Dorothy W, Pease (b. Sept 25, 1759 in Rockingham, NH ), and to have a brother named Theophilus (born 1791).

Gilman L. Drew in User Submitted Tree at Drew Family Study

Note: The Drew Family Study uses yDNA results combined with family charts to sort out the various Drew lines, particularly in North America. The above chart is unsourced, so should be considered useful roadmap to Gilman's likely heritage. This chart is from the Drew yDNA study. The theory that Theophilus Drew Sr. is a son of David Drew is not proven, but is based on good circumstantial evidence. The rest of the chart is accurate.
