Third Seminole Indian War

James enlisted as a private in Capt Henry Harrington's Co, Regiment of Florida Mounted Volunteers on 23 Jul 1857 in Alligator, Florida Territory (now Lake City) for the Third Seminole Indian War and was mustered out on 22 Jan 1858[1]
