Taft Driver was born in DeKalb County, Tennessee on the 13th of January, 1912[1] to Lon Driver and Tilda Crook. The siblings would be:

In August of 1954 - KILL RATTLESNAKES[8] - Lebano - Rattlesnake season reached an intense stage here last week as Taft Driver of Watertown reported killing one under his house and Johnnie Spickard, county register, and Paul Gannon got a whopper in Cedar Forest.

Driver's was three feet, nine inches longand had three rattles.

BROOM MAKER[9]

Taft Driver of Watertown has a lot of staying power, as do his corn brooms. Despite triple-bypass heart surgery last year, the 79 -year-old has kept his fathers craft alive. Every spring he plants broomcorn, then dries th stalks and fastens them to wire to a broom handle. "one woman came here and wanted me to make a 14 -foot broom. I said "Woman, what would you want a 14-foot broom for?" "That broom is on display when it isn't being used ot sweep cobwebs from church windows.

He died on the 20th of September 1996[1] in Nashville, Tennesse and would be buried in the Jones HIll Cemetery in Watertown, Wilson, Tennessee[10]

His obituary[11] Taft Driver, 84, Old Statesville Road, iVatertown, Tenn., a farmer, died Friday, Centennial Medical Center, Nashville. Cause not disclosed. Services were held yesterday. . Hunter Funeral Home, Watertown, in charge. Survivors: wife, Minnie Bell Driver; daughter, Jerri Reese, Lebanon; a grandchild; a great-grandchild.
