William Francis was born about 1831 at Dover, Kent, England[1][2] and baptised on the 24th July 1831 at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent, England, the son of William Driver (Carpenter) and Mary Driver of St. Mary's, Dover[3]

William Francis married Elizabeth Hatton on the 14th November 1850 at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent, England. William Francis Driver, bachelor, baker, of Charlton, son of William Driver (Carpenter) and Elizabeth Hatton, spinster of Charlton, daughter of Thomas Hatton (labourer). Witnessed by Mary Jane Driver and Alfred Lacey[4]

William Francis died on the 22nd April 1870 aged 38 years[5] and was buried on the 29th April 1870 at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover, England[6]

"Deaths - April 22nd, at Dover. William Francis Driver, of Her Majesty's Customs, aged 39 years, much respected"[7]
