Donald was born in 1810. He passed away in 1850.
He drowned at the Wairarapa Lake together with two others; another settler, John Drummond (unrelated) and a boy described as a “half caste”.
He left a wife and young family of five children under the age of seven.
He is buried in Bolton St cemetery. [1] Note headstone reads born 1815 Dunblane, Scotland.
