Biography

Alexander was born 22 Sep 1786 in Culloch, Perthshire. He was baptised 25 Sep 1786 at Comrie, son of John Drummond and Elizabeth Gardiner. A second entry in the Baptism Registers states:

• Alexander son of John Drummond and Elizabeth Gardener of Glasnafod was born 25th December 1786.

Alexander married Catharine Clark at Madderty, Perth, Scotland on 8 Nov 1812.^[1]

He is mentioned on the "Sir Allan McNab" as a single man. Most likely his wife died in GB before the family emigrated to New Zealand.

Alexander passed away 15 Aug 1865 at his residence in Upper Moutere, New Zealand aged 77 years.
