Biography

Agnes Drummond was born in 1853 at Allanton, Berwickshire, in the parish of Edrom. She is the daughter of David Drummond and Isabella Clazie. She was shown in the 1861 census at Allanton, and in 1871, 1891, 1901 at Edrom. In 1861 she was called a scholar but in 1871 her occupation was "outworker", presumably meaning that she worked away from home. As clear as mud!

Agnes Drummond married John Younger in Dewsbury Yorkshire in 1881[1] Their son John Marsden Younger was born in Yorkshire in 1884[2]
