Research Notes

Eileen Drury is listed as the second child of William Barker Drury in H.C.Drury's book Drury Pedigree. It would appear that the name Eileen was used instead of the Irish name Eily. The name means 'filled with light'. Could this be a common mistake by the author? ^[2] It would appear that she died while posted to India with her husband, who was an officer in the army.
