Research Notes

  • This profiled Anne Drury seems to be getting conflated with her younger sister Anne "Amy" Drury who married William Pleasance. Vernon-2152 22:58, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
  • The few official sources for her sister (Amy), seem to be naming her Amy, but I've seen a few mixed up profiles in unofficial family trees or pedigree charts etc, than name the younger sister as "Anne (Amy)", so this is something to watch out for when researching Anne (b1569/70). Vernon-2152 20:51, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
  • I have paged through the "Norfolk, England, Church of England Baptism, Marriages, and Burials, 1535-1812" source (which I posted her baptism from) in order to determine if she died young, married, or was buried single even. I have not been able to find her in the record. Vernon-2152 20:51, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
  • A few other researchers have noted that Anne does not appear in her father's 1616 will. The implication that this could mean that she died BEFORE he died. Again, I didn't find her death noted before his, so this is just a hypothesis. Need evidence to support this theory. Vernon-2152 20:51, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
  • In addition to Anne not being mentioned in her father's will, there is no mention of her children. Which, again, if this means that Anne died before her father, it would then be likely possible that she didn't marry or have children. Or, at least, didn't have children that lived, if she married. Vernon-2152 23:26, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
  • I have done general searches on Ancestry and FamilySearch, neither coming up with anything solid that can be linked to Anne. Anne Drury seems to be a crazy common name. Vernon-2152 23:18, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
