Rod, I'm so glad you joined Team Roses for sourcing fun and helped us source 4282 profiles. We took 2nd place by average score! Our next exciting event will likely be a Connect-A-Thon in January. Keep an eye out for announcements.

Hiya cousin! I'm glad you were able to join the Team Roses fun during the Clean A Thon this year. Thank you for your hard work helping us clean up over 30,000 suggestions as a team! Emma :-)
Hey cousin, so glad you could join us for another SAT. You did great as always! It's always fun to work beside you. Emma :-)
Thanks, Emma. Wouldn't have missed it. The SAT is my favorite WikiTree thon because we have the honor of locating, verifying and adding legitimate sources to an individuals profile, thereby validating that persons existence within our community, which only makes our tree healthier. All this wrapped in a pocket of friendly competition while lifting the impact of an enjoyable team. -- Rod DuBois

Hi, Rod!

Thank you for your participation in October’s 2020 Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.

Keep up the great work!

Hi, Rod

The Ambassadors project has been reorganizing and is looking for those who have a membership at a genealogical society, to help in spreading the word about WikiTree.

We're working on ways to improve how WikiTree connects and interacts with genealogical and local history societies. This is the kind of thing we want to do:

  • Liaise with societies: set up your local society with a free-space page and some WikiTree materials as part of a package.
  • Use social media to promote what societies are offering on WikiTree.
  • Encourage bloggers to blog about societies and the resources available to them on WikiTree.

Are you interested in participating in some way? Do you have some ideas to share?

Hi cousin!

Oh my goodness I am behind! But I wanted to thank you once again for joining Team Roses in a whole lot of fun while we cleaned up WikiTree. Thanks for your hard work!

Hi Rod,

Thank you for editing Eliza A. D'Alton (D'Alton-12). My Great-Grandfather was James D'Alton, wife Julia E. Kearney D'Alton. I've never come across the name Eliza A. D'Alton.

While I have some info on the D'Alton family once they came to America, I've not found too much about them in Ireland.

How did you happen to find Eliza and the information you change?

I'm, not very good at this and appreciate any insight you can offer me.

Thanks so much,

Loretta McDermott McGinn (LudsyRed)

Hello and Happy 2019! Thank you so much for joining Team Roses for the Scan-a-Thon. You uploaded an amazing amount of photos!

Profiles are so much more fun with something nice to look at and every challenge is better with you as a part.

Emma :-)

Hello Cousin,

Thank you for joining in the fun with Team Roses for another SAT! It wouldn't have been the same without you. I hope your fall is going well.

Greetings Rod,

From a g2g comment you made, it appears you may be very experienced with USNA. Currently, I am trying to assist with research Elizabeth Barber and keep seeing a reference for her husband citing National Archives File Designation: George Barber BLWt 35646-80-55. Does this look like a good file to you as I have been unsuccessful finding it listed. Or is it some incorrect reiteration that can be found on the internet?

Any help appreciated!

Hi Rod--

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Participation in a project is encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles.

I see you are way ahead of me even participating in the Source-a-thon. Here is one project not on your page: Huguenot Migration , leader is Chet Snow.

A slightly late note to say: thank you for being a valuable member of Team Roses during the 2017 Source-A-Thon with 184 contributions. Our team spirit was out of this world and you helped make that happen. Your encouragement did not go unnoticed! I was proud to be a part of such an amazing group.
