Biography

[1] Funeral services for William Charles DuBose, 53, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Carl Dubose and Brother Jim Salles officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

William was born December 4, 1958 in Lufkin, Texas, and passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Lufkin.

William graduated from Lufkin High School in 1978. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting. William was the co-owner of Lufkin Power Sports and was in the agriculture business for over 40 years. William had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a follower of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Terrie DuBose of Lufkin; sons and daughter-in-law, Justin and Meg DuBose of Roanoke and Jason DuBose of Lufkin; parents, Warren and Patricia DuBose of Lufkin; granddaughter, Georgia Grace DuBose, the joy of his life, of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Glenna DuBose of Fairfield; sister, Elisa DuBose Looney of Fort Worth; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Barbara DuBose of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Larry McWilliams of Lufkin; beloved uncle, Chuck Morrison of Fairfield; nieces and nephews, Bill and Joyce DuBose of Lufkin and Linda Smith of Diboll.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Burton, Hunter Looney, Brandon McWilliams, Clint DuBose, Marshall Lee Crawford, and James Owens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Morrison, Larry McWilliams, Tim Cruse, Brett Osterkamp, Jimmy Taylor, Tim Smith, Sam Anderson and employees of Lufkin Power Sports.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Woodland Heights Hospital and Methodist Hospital in Houston for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Will to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
