Isaac PORCHER, born in South Carolina; d. 1781; was son of Isaac PORCHER (b. 1682) and of his wife, Rachel DuPRE.
Isaac PORCHER, d. 1781 inherited property in the lowcountry parishes of St. James Goose Creek and St. John Berkeley. Between 1752 and 1771 he had obtained 11,020 acres, most of which were in the unsettled areas of St. Stephen and St. Mark parishes. By the mid-1750s, PORCHER had moved to St. Stephen Parish. PORCHER represented St. Mary in the Twenty-seventh Royal Assembly, 1766-1768; represented St. Stephen, in the Thirty-second Royal Assembly, in 1773; was a member of the Second General Assembly, 1776-1778; and represented St. Matthew's, in the Third General Assembly, 1779-1780;

Isaac PORCHER died sometime between February 2, 1781 when he signed a codicil to his will and March 16th, 1781, when it was proved.
Isaac PORCHER was survived by his two daughters, Catherine PORCHER, md. George ANCRUM; and Rachel PORCHER, md. William DOUGHTY.
