Biography

Abraham Dubois died young.

Abraham du Bois, son of Louis du Bois and his wife Catherine Blanchon, was born 29 September 1656. He was baptized a week later, on 5 October 1656, at the French Reformed Church in Mannheim in what is now Germany. [1]

Abraham was almost certainly dead by 3 January 1658 when his younger brother was baptized with the same name. [2]

I have seen where a child who dies very young, especially as an infant, has the next sibling of the same sex with the same name. It was not at all uncommon.

I rejected a match with Du Bois-10, as I believe this was an earlier son of the same name who died young (born/died in 1656; Abraham Du Bois-10 was born 1657).
