DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nicole by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nicole:

I'm giving a brief talk at this weekend's Wikiconference North America (no connection to WikiTree) about our suggestions that are driven by Wikidata. I noticed one of the other speakers, Benoit Rochon, is a beginning Atikamekw speaker who will talk (with Thérèse Ottawa) about Indigenous Languages and Knowledge in Wikimedia Projects. Thought it might be interesting for our First Peoples folks.

Hello Nicole,

You kindly welcomed me and I thank you. But I am lost in this maze of info. I am just a novice, I inherited a lot of my information from cousins etc, and am trying now to tie up the loose ends, but need some guidance. Take care, kind regards, Anne-Marie

Hello, my fellow Greeter!

Nicole, thanks so very much for your participation in the spring Clean-a-thon! Every suggestion you cleared (over 500!) made our Tree that much better. The WikiTree community appreciates YOU!

Hi Nicole, thank you for the welcome response. I am doing family research on the Fourie family and looking forward to pick up loss pieces regarding our family tree history. My ancestory tree profile is managed by Jo Fourie and I hope he can shine some light on my extended family. I am gradually working my way through wikitree but still very new to this. Take care & kind regards Hendrik Christiaan (stiaan) Fourie

You are very welcome Hélène, it was my pleasure.

Back in 2019, you blessed me with a generous genealogist badge. I JUST saw it. My apologies for not thanking you, that badge means more to me than any other. You made my day. You are a find genealogist to go so far to help others! Have a wonderful 2020. Barbara

Congratulations, dear Cousin, on reaching 750,000! You're getting closer to outer space everyday. I'm watching for your take-off.

thank you so much Nicole !!

thanks to you I have a better grasp of the gedcom import process !!!

I manually entered a few profiles ... matched them to some profiles in the gedcom file ... but the "add" button for these profiles is still greyed out (I can click on it but then it doesn't take into account all the info from the gedcom file) ... I guess I need to be validated as a "true genealogist" so that the "add" button really works ??

thank you again !!

oops sorry it's because I cllcked on the checkbox to the left of the person names that the "add" button was greyed out ...
PS : now I have a better grab of the process : I should check each person once it's added ...
Thank you Nicole for your welcome comment !

I am very new to genealogy. With my relatives we try to build an online collaborative tree for our family.

I tried to import a gedcom file with 265 persons. Is there a way we can say see these persons in on online family tree like we can in Geneanet, Ancestry or Myheritage ??

Thank you again !!

Thank you for welcome email. I look forward to working with you.

Hi Nicole and thanks for the work on my branches of our tree. I have in fact largely abandoned genealogy, though it's wonderful to see progress from cousins still going strong. :)

Thank you for the welcome Nicole.

I am creating a family tree for my family and a family member suggested WikTree. Surprise Surprise I found my family tree. managed by John Manning traced back to 1744 William Bell up to my grandfather 1887 Thomas Henry (Harry) Bell. I have traced my family tree from 1887 Thomas Henry (Harry) Bell up to my granddaughter 2008 Chloe Mary Bell. She is the last member of our family. I would love to contact John Manning so that I could pass this information on as he is the profile manager for our family tree. Thank you John for all the hard work on the information you have already accumulated.

Dear Nicole, I refer to your welcoming mail of 21 November for which I thank you.

The link you sent me (New Member How-To New Member How-To) doesn't seem to exist ... Could you send me an up to date one? Thank you! Ginette Reens

Thanks for the welcome, Nicole!

When I view my account it shows as a person's profile, that is, it created an entry for me as a new person (it's looking for father's name etc). I'm pretty sure someone else has already created that profile about me - do I assume correctly that I should link my profile to that one or am I reading too much into this?
