William Duckett of Hartham, Corsham, co. Wilts. (bp. 23 May 1624 Corsham, co. Wilts), was the eldest son and heir of:[1][2][3]
He had a brother named Stephen (bur. 11 Nov 1626 Corsham), who died young.[3]
William was educated at St John's, Oxford and admitted to the Inner Temple in 1642. He was MP for Calne from 1659 to 1661.[1]
William married three times. His first wife was Elizabeth Henshaw. The second was Anne Knight, and the last was Margaret Moore. He had no children with his third wife.
m.1 (bef. 1651) Elizabeth, dau. of Thomas Henshaw of Kensington, co. Middlesex. Issue: 1 son.[1]

m.2 (1655) Anne (d. c.1667), dau. of George Knight, mercer, of Bristol, wid. of Walter Chapman of Bath. Issue: 1 daughter.[1]
m.3 (14 Sep 1669 license) Margaret, dau. of Sir Henry Moore, 2nd Bt., of Fawley, Berks. No issue.[1].
Summary of the Will of William Duckett 1686/7
In his will made on 01 Nov 1686 and proved on 03 Jan 1686/1687 he was recorded as William Duckett of Hartham in the County of Wilts Esqr[6].
He bequeathed to his son, Lionell Duckett "all the furniture of my house at Hartham except plate lynnen my wifes pictures and the bookes that belong to her and Cabinetts and what other goods my wife shall thinke fitt for her use & being assured she will be kind to him, But if my sonne shall be soe unkind as to vex her with suites either in his owne name or in any others then the said goods to be returned to and disposed by my Executrix , And in case my sonne Lionell Duckett shall refuse to satisfy two Bonds which I am bound with him for one to William Singer of Trowbridge and the other to May Pinchen of Chippenham both of the County of Wilts Then the goods at Hartham intended for my said sonne to be sold for the payment of the said Bonds". He also bequeathed to his son, Lionell, his best saddle horse, his milk cowes and hoggs.
He bequeathed to his daughter Jane Stubbs and her husband mourning and £10 to buy her a Ring.
He desired his Executrix "to pay to my sonne Duckett one hundred pounds to bury me and lett noe more be laid out and to have my body interid at Calne and I give to the poore there tenne pounds to be paid within two months after my death".
He bequeathed to "my deare wife her heirs and assignes all my houses Lands Tenements and hereditaments in the City of Bath and all the residue of my goods chattells and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever".
He nominated his wife (not named in the will) as his Executrix. However, probate recorded that his widow was named Margaret.
An entry in the parish register of Corsham, co. Wilts. states:
It is presumed that he died at Hartham, Corsham.
