Naval Hospital; Age at Death: 38).[1]

B. F. Duckworth of Navy Dies In San Diego Hospital

B. F. Duckworth, 38 years old, of the United States Navy, died at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California, early Sunday, relatives here were advised.

Mr. Duckworth, a resident of Greenville since 1928, was manager of the Oliver Finnie company at Leland when he entered the nation's sea fighting forces on March 25.

A native of Magee, Mr. Duckworth came to Greenville 16 years ago as the traveling representative of a tobacco firm. He was widely known in the Delta region.

Mrs. Duckworth was called to San Diego two weeks ago and was with him when he passed.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hattie Duckworth, 1006 South Theobald street. His parents who live at Magee; two brothers and four sisters. Funeral arrangements were not immediately complete.[3]
