Biography

Joann Ducote was born in 1940. She was married to Lawrence Mayeaux.

When Hurricane Betsy hit Louisiana on September 9, 1965, Joann drowned after being swept away by floodwaters. Her body was later found at a ditch near Franklin Avenue in the Gentilly section of New Orleans.[1] She was buried at Saint Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer.
