He was a farmer, perhaps took over fathers farm per Paul Dudley. He also had him named Joseph Herbert Dudley b. 1710.� Davidson Dudley (1708-87) served as private and signed the Association Test in Brentwood, N. H., where he was born. He died in Exeter, N. H.

A birth in about 1717 (if 70 at death) would mean he married at a more typical age, and also might be more likely than 1707 if he really served in the Revolutionary War (i.e., in his 60s, rather than in his 70s). Joseph R. Klett

Davidson Dudley, son of Col. Stephen, was born at Exeter about 1708, and married Anna Lord. He was a skillful blacksmith by trade, and also carried on his farm at Brentwood. He ever sustained a good charactor, and was a useful man till late in life, when the shaking palsy disabled his hands. He died of the black jaundice in 1787, aged about 70 years.

Davidson Dudley and Anna Ladd were married about 1739 in Exeter, NH.
