Biography
Jacob was born in 1726. He is the son of Thomas Dudley.
Sept. 1, 1763. Jacob and Stephen Dudley of Carteret Co., N. C., to John Backhouse of Carteret CQ.) N. C., for 18 pounds 200 acres in Onslow Co., N. C., which was granted to Anthony Mitchell, Apr. 11 , 1749, and conveyed to Thomas Dudley, Feb. 9, 1752, and left to his sons Jacob and Stephen Dudley by their father, Thomas Dudley deceased, as per will, May 13, 1753. This land on head of Queens Creek at Jarman Howard's corner. Tests: John Cahoon, Christopher Dudley.[1]
