Biography

OBITUARY: A Celebration of Life for Herbert Lee Dudley, 91, of Caldwell is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2020 at Blackjack Baptist Church near Caldwell. Mr. Dudley passed away February 5th at his home in Caldwell surrounded by his family.

Herbert was born on December 14, 1928 to Jessie Dudley and Florene (Daughtrey) Dudley in Kelton, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army from July 20, 1950 to July 19, 1953. He married Thelma Orlea “Lou” Golden on October 22, 1954 in Channelview, Texas. He loved fishing, spending time in his orchard tending his pecan trees and working with his truck and tractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eugene Dudley, a daughter, Cindy Aucoin; two brothers, JB & Nick Dudley; and one sister, Mary Schrick.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Orlea “Lou” Dudley of Caldwell; sisters, Joan Tucker and Faye New, both of Onalaska, Texas; grandchildren, Heather and Alex Aucoin; and great grandchild, Hadley Aucoin.
