Also in 1861, daughter Nancy married and moved out[9]
Son Charles fought in the Civil War and died in 1863[10]
In 1864, Nancy's husband also perished in that war[11]
So in 1865 the only child left at home with charles and Emily was Ellen[12] Two other people, perhaps boarders, were also there.
Emily died later that year[13]
Burial in Erving Center Cemetery, Erving, Franklin County, Massachusetts.
