Biography

I have taken over this profile as it was orphaned, so info still needs checking. It's creator suggests that this Wm DUFF was born in 1816 in Perthshire, likely because of the shipping record indicating that A William Duff arrived in VIC at that time, but it's not yet clear whether this was the same William Duff. He passed away about 1869. ^[1]

This William DUFF is NOT to be confused with:

• William DUFF who married Alice Charlotte BATES in Sydney in 1863
• William DUFF who married Mary Ann GALWAY in Sydney in 1850

As such it is also challenging to correctly allocate when and how each of the three Willliam DUFF's arrived in Australia.
