Marguerite Duff was born and baptized on December 20, 1814 in St-Jean-Baptiste parish in Nicolet, daughter of Jean Duff and Marguerite Pinard. Godparents at the infant Marguerite's baptism were Louis Rouillard and her grandmother Marie Louise René. [1]
At age 16, Marguerite married Paul Belcourt on July 5, 1831 in St-Jean-Baptiste parish. There were nine known children born into this marriage. [2]
Marguerite died at age 34 on May 16, 1849, ten days after the birth of her last chld; she was buried in St-Antoine-de-Padoue in Baie-du-Febvre.[3]
