Timothy was born in Annaghmore, Strokestown, Roscommon Ireland on Sept 27, 1902. He was the son of Thomas Dufficy and Ellen Feeney.

He met & married Philomena Brudell in the RC Church of Strokestown, Roscommon, Ireland on Feb 16, 1925. Witnesses to this marriage were John Igoe and Gertrude Brudell.

Timothy, Philomena & their child Maureen immigrated from Ireland to New York, USA on the vessel "S. S. Baltic" which departed Queenstown on Sept 5, 1926 and arrived in New York, USA on Sept 12, 1926. (Timothy 23, Philomena 28 & Maura as an infant)
