Margaret was born in Carrowgorrow, Ogulla, Roscommon, Ireland on Nov 7, 1869. She was the daughter of Patrick Dufficy and Mary Regan.
She met and married Peter Shaughnessy in Tulsk, Roscommon, Ireland on Jan 27, 1902 and together they had five known sons.
Margaret passed away in Derryquirk, Roscommon, Ireland on Nov 18, 1952, age 84 with her son John present at her death.
