Bridget was born in Erriff, Claremorris, Co Mayo, Ireland about 1856. She was the daughter of Martin Dufficy.

She met and married David Hunt in the RC Church of Bekan, Claremorris, Co Mayo, Ireland on Jan 24, 1870. Witnesses to this marriage were Michael Nulana and Jane Boyle.

In 1901 she is found, age 52, residing in house 9 in Erriff (Bekan, Mayo) with her husband David (58) and their children Margaret (21), Mary (16), Delia (10) and John (14). These children are single. Mary occupation is as seamstress and John is a labourer.

In 1911 she is found, age 64, widow, residing in house 10 in Erriff (Bekan, Mayo) with her children Michael (35), John (24) & Delia (20). These children are single and Michael has taken over the role as head of the family.

Bridget passed away in Erriff, Claremorris, Co Mayo, Ireland on Nov 1, 1936, age 80 with her daughter-in-law Sarah Hunt (Erriff) present at her death.
