Catherine was born in Carrowgarve, Tulsk, Roscommon, Ireland some time just after 1855. She was the daughter of Maurice Dufficy and Bridget Croghan.
Catherine met and married Patrick Beirne in the RC Chapel of Tulsk, Elphin, Roscommon, Ireland on Oct 15, 1882. Catherine was living in Carragorrow, Roscommon, Ireland at the time of her marriage.
In 1911, she is found living in house 4 in Sheegeeragh (Killukin, Roscommon), Ireland with her husband Patrick, niece Bridie Fitzsimons (age 14) and her sister Bridget McDermott (widow).
Catherine passed away some time after 1911.
