Stephen Muller was born about 1892 in Lady Grey, the son of Jeremiah William Duffield and Rachel Elizabeth Catharina Muller. He was married to Francina Carolina Gustava Bisschoff Jansen van Rensburg in 1920 in Maclear, Cape Province.
Their children are listed on his death notice as: 1. Mary Joey Duffield 2. Jeremiah William Duffield.
He died on 6 March 1926 in Kokstad, Natal.
