Biography

William was born in 1872. He is the son of John Duffy and Johanna Franklin. In 1880, the family was living in Clinton, Clinton County, New York.[1]

He married Gertrude Green. In 1910, the couple and their children were living in Northampton Ward 5, Hampshire, Massachusetts.[2] They were still there in 1920. William owned the home they lived in. He was working as a Teamster. They had 8 children living at home at the time.[3]

They were enumerated in Northampton again in 1930[4] and 1940[5]

William and Gertrude had at least 12 children: Charles E [2], Mary, Helen [6], Rita/Rhea [7], Doris, Bernice, William [8], Gertrude[9], Edward[10], Anthony Harold [11], Donna Catherine[12], and Walter[13].

William passed away in 1948, and was buried in the Saint Mary Cemetery in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.[14]

William was mentioned in the death records of the following children:
