We are cousins through the Cavan family connection. Terrence Duffy (b 1829) and Catherine Hanlon from Skeagh in Knockbride in Co Cavan were parents of 4 children - Patrick born 1847 who married Anne Rogers and who is my direct line of Duffys. They also had James, John and Terence Thomas. Your line I beleive that came to Pekina was the James Duffy and Nora Marcella Nash line. john of course came too and married Catherine 'Kate' Hynes who was from Co Clare. Seems only Terence Thomas stayed on at family farm in Cavan and married Alicia Ellen Carlin. So in effet we have the same 3 x Great grandparents. Please feel free to email if you wish at [email address removed] I live in NSW aith my dad Vince Duffy who is now 85 and tells great Cavan stories !
