Biography

Michel Dufour was born on 3 Oct 1854 and baptized the next day in the parish of St-Basile (Madawaska), the son of Frederic Dufour and Elizabeth Dalaire.^[1][2]

The 1900 census states he emigrated in 1870, and he never became a naturalized citizen.^[3]

Michael, age 29 and son of Frederick and Betsey Dufore, married Jane Dragen, 23 and daughter of Aleck and Olive Dragen, on 8 August 1887 in Peabody, Massachusetts.^[4]

In the 1900 census Mitchell (age 45), Day Laborer, was the married head of household in Franklin, Norfolk, Massachusetts.^[3]
