Biography

Xavier Dufour was the son of Ubald Dufour and Lea Daigle.
He was born May 24, 1892 in Madawaska, Maine.[1]
He married Annie Picard, the daughter of Simeon Picard and Flavie Martin, December 20, 1914 in Madawaska.[2]
The couple resided in Madawaska where they raised their family of at least 12 children:

1. Felix born November 20, 1915[3]
2. Armand born March 25, 1917[4]
3. Normand born March 25, 1917[5]
4. Simone born May 7, 1918[6]
5. Anne Marie born November 6, 1919[7]
6. Marie Cecile born July 21, 1921[8]

Xavier registered for the draft on June 5, 1917.[1]
In 1958 he was listed as residing in St. David, Maine in his brother, Vilas's obituary.[13]
Xavier died in 1966 and was buried at the St. David Cemetery in Madawaska.[14]
