Biography

Antoine was born 14 Apr 1770 to parents Michel Dufraisne and Anastasie Commeau. He had a sister born at the same time, named Marie Josephte. They were both baptised the same day, with Augustin Dufraisne and Genevieve Gautier standing for Antoine, and Louis Rousse and Marie Joseph Rivard for sister Marie Joseph^[1]. Note that both children were referenced in the same baptismal entry. Interesting to see the name change with some using Dufresne (Du fraisne) and others using the older Rivard.

On 5 May 1794, Antoine married Marguerite Lefebvre, daughter of Charles Lefebvre and Marguerite St-Arnaud, in the parish of Immaculée Conception in Trois-Rivieres, Québec^[2].

He passed away in 1845.
