Biography

William Dufty came free to the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

William Dufty was christened May 18, 1808 in Sheepwash, Devonshire, England. He married GRACE PIPER on the 14th of December 1831 in Shebbear, Devon, England.

William and Grace Immigrated to the South Australian Colony in late 1850, with their children aboard the Osecola, arriving in April 1851. [1] The children were:

John 15
Mary 13
Grace 11
Ann 9
Martha 7
Esther 3 who died at sea

William married Loveday Fidock in 1857 at Talunga in the Adelaide Hills district of South Australia.
