Duke-131 and Duke-1490 appear to represent the same person because: Duke-131 appears to have been created on the basis of an error begun by Walter Garland Duke, who attributed the Duke family of Goochland VA to a Fontaine Duke b. 1746 and his wife Sarah. The line actually traces to John Duke and Sarah, and there is no evidence that the older Fontaine existed. Further, the information provided for Duke-131 is very clearly associated with the younger Duke-1490. No one born in 1746 served in the War of 1812. So, I changed the birth date on Duke-131 to reflect the approximate birthdate of the Fontaine Duke associated with the sources given by the original entry creator.
