Biography

Old Tom Dulany is a part of US Black heritage.

Old Tom was born about 1769.^[1] He was enslaved by Henry Grafton Dulany at Oakley Plantation in Fauquier County, Virginia.

Old Tom possibly died around 1861.^[2]

Most of the family records in the bible are in different handwriting and inks, however the two pages with the "servants" names are in the same handwriting and ink. Because of the dates, handwriting, and known facts, it is probable that Ida Powell Dulany wrote those two pages of names c. 1860.
