Dotson married Elizabeth Clow (daughter of David Clow) in Bourbon Co. KY on 03 May 1819.

1820 Census, page 134, Millersburg, Bourbon Co. KY. Unfortunately, the census headers are missing, but there is an entry for what is normally the youngest age group for male children. Atop page 136, there is a James Dunaway, with three total members of his household, none of whom seem to be in the younger age groups. James married Susanna Abbit in 1811. Also in Bourbon Co. KY, Alcy Dunaway married John Kennedy on 13 Nov 1816 - bond paid by John Kennedy and Elijah Abbet. 16 Nov 1820, Drusilla Dunaway & John Edwards. 21 Oct 1818, Clarissa Dunaway & Thomas Stone. 18 Jul 1819, Susan Donaway & Rodney Clow/Clooe/Cleve. Siblings. With Elijah Abbot/Abbet/Abbit frequently on documents.

They are among the children listed for William Dunaway (1758-1865) of VA & Cloe(?)... William's 107 year lifespan may be incorrect. Note also that several of the birth location are given as Harrison Co. KY. Alcie/Elsie's as Virginia City, Colfax NM.
