Biography

https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L4SK-XQ4 "Between 1806/1807, Samuel Dunaway Jr. & his wife Nancy Shaw and their infant daughter Meacca left Halifax County, Virginia for Tennessee. Brothers Drury, Thomas and William with sister Frances (Enoch Tucker's wife) went with him. Their father Samuel Sr died in Halifax Co. in 1837, their mother died in Halifax just before the children left for Tennessee. Samuel Jr. died in August 1817 one day after his 43rd birthday. He was the first person buried in the Dunaway Graveyard located off of Dunaway's Chapel Road, .09 miles south of Dunaway's Chapel Methodist Church."
