According to Aberdeenshire Epitaphs, Nathaniel and Elspet had twelve sons, six of whom attained manhood. Thomas, the Baillie, Andrew, Old Fortrie, James in Rora, Alexander in London, John in Inverugie and Nathaniel who died on the coast of Guinea.
Elspet Duncan passed away at Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1748 aged 88 years[2]

There is an Elspet Duncan listed on Scotlands People as born in 1660 to Thomas Duncan in Longside. If her memorial inscription is correct, then this is she.
