I have always been particularly interested and researching the Duncan surname, my fathers family and am running the Duncan One Name Study. My number one goal is to get the Duncan family tree DNA verified.
My family is part of Duncan Subgroup B, descended from William Robert Duncan (abt.1613-bef.1694) m. Susan Sarah (Haldane) Duncan (abt.1610-abt.1665), the MRCA of the children that left Scotland around 1688 to 1690 and settled in the American Colonies, later to become the United States. My family is part of Y-DNA haplogroup R-FT269028, who I believe is descended from Henry Duncan (abt.1644-abt.1725). Not much is known about Henry Duncan, but it is believed that he settled in Westmoreland, Virginia.
Add categories for census records, Marriages, Births and Deaths.
Review 1810 thru 1840 census records, matching known family to demographic data of census. Identify those missing and catagorize for the eventual purpose of matching to Brickwall Duncan Ancestors.

In the event of my untimely demise, I want to be sure that none of my hard work on Wiki Tree ends up having to be deleted. While I fully intend to be around to manage all my profiles for the next 30 years or so, in the event of my sudden death I hereby give permission for all of my private and public profiles to be transferred to any interested persons. In no event should any of the profiles I manage be deleted.

Hi Carrol, if you want a category deleted, don't add the Editbot category directly to the one you want deleted. you need to add the delete category template, which is: Delete Category with a pair of curly braces before and after the words. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Austrialia%2C_Duncan_Name_Study Have a look in edit mode on the category page and you'll see the template.
During the winter, the Nordic Project performed check-ins, sent as a private message from your profile. You are one of those members who has not replied, and this is a last chance to get in touch and let me know if you like to continue as member in the Nordic Project.
Please answer this comment, and get in touch by sending me a private message. If we have not heard from you within a month you will be removed from the Nordic google group and your badge will be removed.
If you have not received any check-in emails, you might want to check that your email address for WikiTree is one you actually still use.
It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.
What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
We sent you a message about a week ago about the England Project but have not yet heard back from you. If we don't hear from you by this time next week we'll assume you no longer wish to be in the project.
On behalf of the England Project Leaders we're carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the past six months. We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?
I see you have been adding Duncan Name Study categories. May I help you learn the correct way to create and nest them into the category hierarchy?
THanks,
Natalie, Categorization

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.
Thank you for joining the Norway Project and the One-Name Study.
